Volunteer
opportunities with the Native Plant Program
Our program is an ideal situation for developing
volunteer opportunities. From June through
August, we invite volunteers to drop in to the
nursery each Tuesday to assist with plant
maintenance and nursery chores. The volunteer is
free to come when they choose and leave when
they choose – there is no need to contact us
before hand. |
We also look for volunteers to assist with seed
collection and reveg work at various times throughout
the summer and fall. In addition, we are always looking
for assistance with the delivery of student stewardship
activities on specific days throughout the winter, late
spring and fall. For any of these activities, the
interested volunteer should call Joyce Lapp,
406-888-7817 to make arrangements and participate in our
volunteer orientation.
We may also be able to accommodate a volunteer for a
longer period of time, especially if they have their own
lodging or can camp. We have had several individuals
work with us for 6 or more weeks each summer, under a
special arrangement. Again, interested individuals need
to contact Joyce Lapp at 406-888-7817 to arrange
particulars and develop a meaningful volunteer activity.
