  THURSDAY
Travel in style to Fall for Glacier aboard the BNSF Railway Private Train - Board in Whitefish and enjoy a scenic “ride on the rails” to Glacier Park Lodge aboard this exclusive train. The train will make a return trip on Sunday back to Whitefish.

 
 
 
FRIDAY

Discover Glacier Hike and Boat Tour with Park researcher (Full Day) - Take a beautiful boat tour across Two Medicine Lake and hike from the upper boat dock to Upper Two Medicine Lake learning about important research projects in Glacier. Easy Hike – 4.4 miles roundtrip from upper boat dock and 300 ft. of elevation gain.




Blackfeet Reservation and Lewis and Clark Historical Tour (Full Day) - Spend a day touring historical sites on the Blackfeet Reservation and Two Medicine River with local historical expert Larry Epstein. We will travel by vans and visit Camp Disappointment, view tipi rings and Sun Dance lodges, and then walk a short stretch of the prairie through river breaks and cottonwood bottoms to the historic site where Meriwether Lewis and his party encountered the Blackfeet in a deadly “dispute over horses and guns”.

Discover Glacier Hike to Dawson Pass with Citizen Science Coordinator Jami Belt ( Full Day) – Begin by taking a scenic boat tour across Two Medicine Lake and then hike up to the scenic overlook of Dawson Pass with incredible views of Two Medicine and the remote Nyack Valley. Learn about the tremendously successful citizen science program in Glacier as well as other important programs funded by the Glacier National Park Fund. Moderately Strenuous Hike – 9.4 miles roundtrip with 2,900 ft. elevation gain.





Guided Horseback Ride (Half Day) – See all of the beauty of the Glacier mountain front at three miles an hour. This guided trail ride takes you to lofty sites and into the mountainous terrain that has to be seen to be believed. Arrive 30 minutes before ride and bring your box lunch.





Glacier High Tea with special guest speaker (Half Day) – enjoy an afternoon of high tea at the Glacier Park Lodge and listen to a special guest speaker (check back later for guest speaker).






SATURDAY
Discover Glacier Hike to Aster Park with Jack Gladstone and Lex Blood (Half  or Full Day) – Learn about Native American history in Glacier and the Two Medicine region with Jack Gladstone while hiking to Aster Falls (Half Day) Easy Hike – 2.5 miles roundtrip with 300 ft. elevation gain.

For those that want to continue, we will hike another 0.7 miles to Aster Park with Lex Blood who will describe the scenic geology of Glacier National Park. Enjoy incredible views of Sinopah and Rising Wolf Mountains
(Full Day) Moderate Hike – 3.8 miles roundtrip with 676 ft. elevation gain.

Red Jammer Bus Tour (Half or Full Day) – Choose from two interpretive tours and explore Glacier from the comfort of your seat aboard these nostalgic open top buses. The Secret Valley Tour will bring you to Two Medicine Running Eagle Falls, and an included boat tour on Two Medicine Lake (3 hours). The Old North Trail tour brings you to Two Medicine, St. Mary and Many Glacier Valleys with views along this ancient travelers route as well as Going to the Sun Road (8 hours).





Glacier High Tea with special guest speaker Jake Bramante (Half Day) - Enjoy an afternoon of high tea at the Glacier Park Lodge and listen to Jake Bramante present stories and photos from his incredible experience of being the first person to hike all 734 miles of trail in Glacier National Park in one season.









Golf at Glacier Park Lodge (Half Day) - The 9-hole golf course was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1928 and named "Oom-coo-ska-pes-che" or Big Green Blanket by Chief Earl Old Person. The Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course is the oldest grass greens golf course in Montana.
